University at Buffalo selects Harris Search Associates to lead two senior Information Technology leadership searches
University at Buffalo has selected Harris Search Associates to lead the searches to identify its next Associate Chief Information Officer and Information Security Officer.
In concert with the goals and mission of UB2020, UBIT’s mission is “to advance UB’s mission of excellence in research, teaching, and service through the innovative and effective use of Information Technology.” In support of this mission, UBIT is seeking to fill two vacancies: Associate Chief Information Officer and Information Security Officer.
Working closely with and in support of the VPCIO, the Associate VP/Chief Information Officer (ACIO) ensures the development and maintenance of the information technology infrastructures and systems in the VPCIO’s area of responsibility that enable UB to meet its mission. The Information Security Officer (ISO) is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of the University’s campus-wide information security/cybersecurity program.
The Office of the Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) oversees the central IT organization comprised of over 200 talented professionals working collaboratively with the distributed school/unit based IT staff to provide and support campus use of information technology critical to student, faculty, and staff success.
