North East Ohio Medical University College of Pharmacy selects Harris Search Associates
North East Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) College of Pharmacy has selected Harris Search Associates to lead the search to identify a Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences with an emphasis in proteomics research particularly in growing the emerging focus area associated with Parkinson’s disease, and utilization of proteomics. The new Professor will lead the College of Pharmacy efforts to build a research core for Parkinson’s disease.
Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) is a free-standing, community-based, public medical university focused on the quality of health care, scientific and medical research, and the interprofessional training of health professionals that is unique to the state of Ohio. The University offers a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) and a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in addition to graduate-level programs under the newly created College of Graduate Studies – Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree, Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in integrated pharmaceutical medicine, Master of Science degree in health-system pharmacy administration, and a graduate certificate in bioethics.
NEOMED is involved in the focused research areas of auditory neuroscience, community based mental health, metabolic and cardiovascular disease and skeletal biology. Other strong, emerging research areas include drug discovery and drug delivery, ocular neuroscience, neurodegenerative disorders, particularly Parkinson’s disease, and other health professions population-based/health services research. The College of Pharmacy is seeking to build a research core for Parkinson’s disease.
